FASHION, PEOPLE & COMMUNITY

Let's create places
people want to come back to.

A favorite piece. A familiar face.
Enjoying a shop can become part of enjoying life in a town.

Across Saga, Takeo and Kashima, we develop shops with their own personalities. Through fashion, art and events, we create opportunities for people to meet and connect.

SALON MODE helps nurture our communities through encounters with clothes and people.

LIFE IS ART at the AEON Saga Yamato Art Museum

OUR COMMUNITY / LIFE IS ART

Beyond fashion,
art becomes part of everyday life.

LIFE IS ART, the ninth AEON Saga Yamato Art Museum exhibition, ran from October 8 to 18, 2026, bringing art into a familiar shopping space.

The pleasure of discovering clothes and culture can coexist in a town. This real project shows the kind of community we want to help create.

MESSAGE / From our president

People grow.
Shops flourish.
Towns become more interesting.

Finding clothes you love makes going out a little more exciting. Having someone you want to see gives you a reason to stop by a shop. Bringing more of those everyday pleasures to our towns is what SALON MODE works toward.

We believe our people and shops each have their own identity. The same garment takes on a different meaning depending on who chooses it and how they share it. Individual taste and care for customers give a shop its character and a place in the community.

I want everyone who works here to value what they love and what they want to try. Serving customers, buying, arranging a shop and sharing its stories: bringing your own ideas to each task, and shaping them with colleagues, makes work rewarding and helps you grow.

People also need a supportive environment to keep trying new things. Being able to discuss changes in life, including marriage and parenting. Helping each other when difficulties arise. Recognizing effort and care for colleagues. I want us to put that respect for people into practice every day.

Fashion, art and events give us many ways to make our towns more interesting. By creating places people want to visit and opportunities to connect, we can make our work part of what makes living here enjoyable.

GOOD, NOT BIG.

We want each shop to be a place that matters to its customers, and our company to be somewhere people take pride in their work.

Tell us what you love and what you want to try. Let's help shape the future of our towns together.

Let's start with a conversation

OUR WORKOur work

Get to know people.
Think about their style.

Through conversation, we suggest clothes that suit a customer's mood and life. Our work is about making the time spent choosing as enjoyable as the clothes themselves.

Get to know the clothes.
Have a reason to choose.

Explore fabrics, shapes and how a piece feels when worn. Depending on experience and role, staff may also help with buying, developing their own perspective one piece at a time.

Build a shop.
Shape everyday experiences.

Displays, stock management, social posts, event information and customer mailings all matter. As a team, we develop the shop's character and give people reasons to visit our town.

WORK & LIFE / YOUR CAREER

GROW TOGETHERA place to grow, in your own way.

Supporting each other as life changes.

Some colleagues have worked here for ten or twenty years. Staff help each other with school events and unexpected illness in the family. Employees have taken maternity and childcare leave, and shorter working hours can be discussed.

Recognizing how you work, too.

Our evaluation goes beyond sales figures. We also value everyday effort and the way staff support customers and colleagues.

Find your next step.

As you gain experience, you may take on a store manager role involving staff development, merchandising and sales management. Other paths include managing multiple shops or training colleagues.

WORK & FAMILY

Raising a family.
Building a working life of your own.

School events. A child suddenly feeling unwell.
Colleagues talk and support one another when life needs attention.
Whether you are raising children now or thinking about the future,
we will discuss a way of working that fits your life.

  5. Review the day and prepare for tomorrow

  6. Finish work

Overtime is rare. Finishing time may be later if a conversation with a customer continues beyond the end of a shift.
